TSTY transformer substation has been operating stably for 2 years

May 19, 2026

TSTY prefabricated substations have achieved stable operation for two years at an altitude of 2500 meters in snow-covered mountains, earning high praise from Kyrgyzstan clients.

In overseas power engineering projects, the ability of equipment to adapt to extreme natural environments is a key benchmark for measuring its quality and reliability. Recently, we received exciting feedback from the Kyrgyz market: the prefabricated substations provided by TSTY have been operating stably for two years at an altitude of 2500 meters in snow-covered mountains. The client highly praised the product's performance and stability, and actively gave us a thumbs up.

TSTY Electric Co., Ltd.

Project Background

This prefabricated substation project is located in a high-altitude mountainous region south of Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, at an altitude of 2500 meters. This region has typical high-altitude climate characteristics:

Low air density, large diurnal temperature range, with winter temperatures reaching below -30°C; strong ultraviolet radiation, posing a risk of accelerated aging of the equipment's external insulation; inconvenient transportation and maintenance, resulting in extremely high requirements for maintenance-free or low-maintenance equipment.

Previously, the customer had tried using electrical equipment from other manufacturers, which frequently resulted in insulation breakdown, circuit breaker malfunctions, and condensation corrosion during winter, severely impacting power supply reliability.

Two Years of Zero Faults, Highly Acknowledged by the Customer

Since its installation and commissioning, this transformer substation has operated continuously and stably for over two years. During this period, it withstood two full winters and numerous extreme weather events such as blizzards and strong ultraviolet radiation. According to feedback from the customer's maintenance team:

  1. No unplanned power outages occurred;
  2. No insulation breakdowns or protection malfunctions caused by high altitude;
  3. The interior of the enclosure remained consistently dry, free of condensation and rust;
  4. Routine inspections required only simple visual checks, essentially achieving maintenance-free operation.
  5. In a recent communication, the client's project manager stated:

"From installation until now, your prefabricated substation has never failed us on a 2500-meter-high snow-covered mountain. This level of quality gives us complete peace of mind. We commend your product and will recommend it to our peers."

TSTY Electrical Equipment's Successful Validation in High-Altitude Regions

This case not only demonstrates the strong adaptability of our prefabricated substations to high-altitude, frigid, and intense ultraviolet environments, but also provides a reliable technical model for power projects in Central Asia and even globally (such as the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the Andes Mountains).

Every "thumbs up" from our clients is the best reward for our "Quality First, Customer Supreme" philosophy. In the future, our company will continue to focus on special environment electrical equipment, providing reliable, durable, and cost-effective products and services for infrastructure construction in more countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.
