COMESA Officials' Training Workshop Visits TSTY
From July 16th to 17th, 2026, a delegation of over 30 officials from the China-COMESA Clean Energy and Industrialization Development Capacity Building Training Program visited Jia County, Pingdingshan City, Henan Province for a special exchange and study tour. As one of the core stops of this tour, TSTY Electric Co., Ltd. (TSTY) welcomed government officials and industry experts from 11 African countries, including Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Kenya, Rwanda, and Somalia.
A "Power Rendezvous" Across Thousands of Miles
This training program was organized by the International Centre for Small Hydropower (COMESA) and the Secretariat of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), leveraging the platform advantages of the UNIDO International Centre for Small Hydropower Pingdingshan Electric Industry International Innovation Cooperation Center. COMESA is one of the most influential regional economic organizations in Africa, covering 21 member states with a total population of over 600 million. The training program focused on clean energy development, new industrialization, and the development of the electrical industry, aiming to promote practical cooperation between China and Africa in energy transition and industrialization through on-site visits and in-depth exchanges.
During the visit, participants visited the Zhongyuan Electric City, Tsty Electric Co., Ltd., the Jiaxian Economic Development Zone's new energy vehicle charging demonstration station, and the Jiaxian integrated power generation, grid, load, and storage project. From electrical equipment manufacturing to new energy infrastructure construction, from comprehensive utilization of green energy to integrated power generation, grid, load, and storage practices, African officials paid close attention to Pingdingshan's full-chain capabilities in the power and electrical field.
TSTY: Showcasing the Strength of "Made in China" to African Customers
At the Tiansheng Electric production base, African officials inspected the R&D, production, and manufacturing processes of transformers and complete sets of power equipment. TSTY is a national high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, production, sales, and installation of power equipment, with products covering oil-immersed transformers, dry-type transformers, prefabricated substations, high and low voltage complete sets of equipment, and new energy special substations. Currently, TSTY products are exported to over 60 countries and regions worldwide. Having cultivated a strong presence in the African market for many years, TSTY has consistently provided reliable equipment support for local power grid upgrades, industrial power supply, and new energy projects.
During the visit, the TSTY technical team provided African officials with detailed introductions to customized product solutions for overseas markets—transformer designs adapted to special environments such as high temperature, high altitude, and high humidity, as well as cutting-edge products for energy transition, such as new energy transformer substations and energy storage equipment. The African officials showed great interest in TSTY's production processes, quality control system, and customization capabilities, leading to lively discussions.
In addition to the Tsty Electric production base, the training course also visited the Jiaxian Economic Development Zone's new energy vehicle charging demonstration station and the Jiaxian integrated power generation, grid, load, and energy storage project. The integrated power generation, grid, load, and energy storage project is an important practice of new power systems, encompassing the efficient coordination of power sources, grids, loads, and energy storage. Upon completion, the project is expected to generate approximately 43 million kWh of electricity annually, reducing energy consumption by approximately 13,000 tons of standard coal and carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 40,000 tons per year. From single equipment manufacturing to systemic energy solutions, TSTY and Jiaxian Economic Development Zone demonstrated to their African partners the complete path of China's power industry upgrading from "product export" to "technology export, solution export, and standard export."
TSTY will continue to leverage the Pingdingshan Electrical Industry International Innovation Cooperation Center platform to bring "Made in China" power solutions to more African countries with more reliable products, more flexible solutions, and more pragmatic services, injecting vitality and strength from Pingdingshan and TSTY into the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
